There For Me
Chapter 29
Emily's POV:
I ran
all the way home. I mean, what was I suppost to do?
Ask Carson for a ride home after I just said no? Tears dripped
down my cheek but were quickly dried by the warm summer
breeze.
After a few more minutes of running I decided to call Zoey for a ride, knowing I still had at least 3 more miles to go. I pulled out my phone and punched in the numbers.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Zoey.” I managed to choke out through my sobs.
“Emily! Are you okay?”
I nodded even though I knew she couldn’t see me. “Yeah, im fine. I guess. But, um, could you come pick me up?” Once I told her where I was I hung up. A few minutes later I saw her black VMW pull up. I stood up and attempted to wipe the dried tears and makeup from my face before opening her door.
“Hey.” She said glancing at me.
“Hey.” I mumbled back. I saw her look at me one more time and I knew she knew better than to push it.
After a few more minutes of udder silence, we pulled up to my house. I slowly got out and turned around.
“Thanks Zoey.”
She smiled. “Your welcome.”
I shut the door and started up the walkway, the sobs and tears coming fast. I reached the door and opened it as quietly as I could. I didn’t want Jaden seeing me like this. I didn’t want anybody to see me like this. I tiptoed u to my room and started shutting the door…
“Hey, Em, are you okay?” Jaden asked walking by.
“Um, yeah, of course.” I lied, plastering a fake smile on my face.
He looked at me for a minute, obviously not buying my answer. “You sure?”
I nodded. “Never better.” I said, shutting the door. Except for the fact that I just said no to the boy I could possibly love.
Okay, first off; sorry for the crappy chapter;p Secondly; im sorry i havent posted in so long. I only have a week left of summer so i really want to make the most of what i have left & plus every time i got to post, Witty isnt working. Haha, so yeah. Comments & Feedbaack? (:
