Everyone thinks I'm a happy, laid-back, normal 13-year-old boy.
but the reason why I'm so cheerful, is because of my best friend.
One of them, Bethany, died on February 28th. you might have known her on Witty as LetTheFlamesBegin. She died of cancer. She had it for a few months, she knew she was going to die. But did she give up? No. She continued to live her life, she inspired me so much. She showed me that even if something bad happens, you should NEVER give up, and every cloud has a silver lining. she taught me to smile, and when nothing goes right, go left. Bethany practically taught me to LIVE.
James, my other best friend, is JamesLovesBeth on Witty. He's normally amazingly strong and can give advice to anyone,but When Bethany died, it completely destroyed him. He always knew that he was young, he was just 13 as well as me and Bethany, and that he had a whole life ahead of him. but on April 6th he attempted suicide. he shot himself and the bullet was one inch away from his heart. Hes in hospital now, he's still unconscious but slowly his body is recovering.

I would have done the same as James.
But, thinking of Bethany, she wouldn't want either of us to do it. Because of her words, I'm still alive and smiling. I live life to the fullest, and its all because of my best friend, who is now dead.
Some people would be saying, 'wtf is the point of this quote? Reading about the 'tragic' life of a pathetic little teenage boy was a waste of my time'.
But the point is, when life gets tough, don't give up. Be like Bethany and live your life. Live, laugh, love. Before you go destroying yourself, remember that you are destroying the people who love you too.
