Chapter 22

Halloween. I didn't have that on my mind until I realized that it was October 31st.
"Hey Drew, what do you want to do for tonight?"
Drew and I were watching tv in my room, nothing to special.
"Well, I think we should just stay indoors. You know, relax."
He winked and I rolled my eyes, pushing him.
"Well, there's a party at Kevin's house. He's in my English class and I guess the whole school is invited."
I shrugged and Drew stopped flipping through the channels and looked at me.
"You really want to tell people we're dating now?"
"No, we could just go as friends or something."
"What would we go as?"
I thought about this for a second, million of ideas running though my head.
"Well, how about we go as ourselves?"
Drew laughed.
"Sure. Why not?"
I laughed along with him, until my mother knocked on the door.
"Fidelity? What's so funny?"
We shut up immediately and Drew got up quickly, running into my closet.
"Nothing! Just something on tv."
"Ok, and Kevin called, he said the party has been moved from 8 to 7."
My mothers muffled voice said from behind the door. I turned and looked at the clock which read 6:43.
"Ok, thanks."
"No problem."
I heard her footsteps walk away slowly, and Drew poked his head out of the closet.
"Coast is clear?"
He whispered and I nodded, getting off my bed and walking over to him.
"So, are you ready?"
I looked at my outfit and then at him, and I shrugged.
"I don't know, we look like ourselves."
"That's the whole point isn't it?"
I grinned up at him and he tilted my head back, bringing our lips together. After we parted we walked out of the house and out to my car that I got a few weeks ago. Nothing special, just a nice light blue VMW Bug. We both got in and I started to back out of the driveway, turning down the street to get to Kevin's. I looked over at Drew, whos hand was resting on my leg and smiled. Maybe it would be a good time to tell people we're dating. Or not. You never know what happens at parties, and what ever happens could change everything.
