OrdinaryMe
Jessica's POV
Introduction
I have always been the uglier of me and my friend. Some, well
many, wonder why such a pretty girl would be best friends with a
loser like me. I wonder that alot too. She was always the popular
girl at school and i was always just her smart little best
friend. We had met in fourth grade. She was failing math, and i
was assigned as her "tutor". Ever since then we were an
unstoppable pair. Until sixth grade. With my help she was
accepted into the "gifted" program for, of course,
math. I was also accepted but went to my home middle school
instead, forced to find new friends. It was now the first day of
school and i was shaking and felt sick to my stomach. My mom had
already taken her yearly "back to school" photo of me
and my two older sisters. Once i was assigned my homeroom i
walked head held high to room 601. I saw a few people i had
recoginized from elementary school but most were complete
strangers. I took the seat next to one of my old best friends,
Rebecca. We waited for the teacher to walk in and as if on cue
she pranced through the doorway and stated ina rather high voice,
"GOOD MORNING CLASS, IM GOING TO BE YOUR ENGLISH
TEACHER THIS YEAR, IM MRS.WILLIS!" She looked uptight and
mean. She began to assign lockers and schedules. My name was
eleventh on the list. "JESSICA HARROLD, 6432." I was
only a couple lockers down from the person who would be my
companion this year, Kailee Karmen. She was a few lockers down.
We filed out of the dugeon,601, to our new lockers. I was so
focused on the passing locker numbers, '6429,
6430,6431...' I didnt even noticed the guy i was about to run
straight into until i was flat on my butt. He reached a hand out
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked. He seemed geniunely
concerned. "Yeah, Im fine. Sorry!" I said as he helped
me to my feet. "Colin", he intorducted him self.
"Jessica", i said staring into his bright, blue, icy
eyes. "Well see you around.... Jessica." He said with a
wink and with that he was gone. That was just the beginning of my
new life and the end of ordinary me.
