Chapter 1

"Help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs while running. "Somebody! Help me!"

What are these things that are after me? I felt one of them reach out and touch my shoulder. Its' long hot, bony fingers. I turned and looked it sraghit in the face. glowing red eyes, planing to kill me.

I woke up. I was full of sweat. My hair was soaked. 

"Some dream." I said to myself in the mirror.

I started brushing my dark red hair. I hated it. I had it in a flippy hair-do. But it wasn't my weirdest feature.

My electric blue eyes were. They were literly a dark electric colour. 

"Asher! Get down stairs!" said Alessandra

Alessandra is my grandmother. She and her husband, Adam, insisted I call them by their first names. I live with them because my mother died when I was 1. I don't know how she died they don't like talking about her and her death. I have my own theroy of why I live with them. I think they kidnapped me but I doubt it. 

I got into the living room. they were being there boring old selves. I grabbed a piece of toast, sat down in the arm chair and watched the news with them until t he bus came. They were staring at me blankly. i decided to break the silence.

"What?" I said

"Asher Frankwall, don't you dare use that tone!" said Adam very strenly. 

"Whatever." I said under my breath.

I heard a car horn beep. I got up and walked out the door to school.
