The Simple Things In Life 
Taking a hot shower when you're tired and sore. The first few bites of thanksgiving dinner. A "hello" from a stranger. A text message from 'him'. Receiving a letter in the mail. Warm clothes right out of the dryer. Making the yellow traffic light. That outfit that looks perfect on you. Your favorite songs playing on the radio. Saying the same thing as somebody else at the same time. Putting down that last piece to finish a puzzle. Passing the test you didn't study for. Finding money you didn't know you had. Waking up and realizing you have more time to sleep. Getting out of class early. Random compliments from strangers. Knowing you were there for someone. Movie theater popcorn. The smell of freshly mowed grass. Eating something fresh out of your own garden. The feeling you get when it's football season.
The little things make the biggest difference.

Do you ever get that feeling where you don't want to talk to anybody? You don't want to smile and you don't want to fake being happy. But at the same time you don't know exactly what's wrong either. There isn't a way to explain it to someone who doesn't already understand. If you could want anything in the world it would be to be alone. People have stopped being comforting and being along never was. At least when you're alone no one will constantly ask you what is wrong and there isn't anyone who won't take 'I don't know' for an answer. You feel the way you do just because. You hope the feeling will pass soon and that you will be able to be yourself again, but until then all you can do is wait.

Tt's Been 5 Years...

since I lost the most important, beautiful woman in my life...my mom. Mom, I know I'm by far not the most perfect daughter, but everything I do is and always will be for you. Not a day goes by when I don't think about you & I still cry myself to sleep some nights. My only wish is that you're doing great up there, waiting for me because we WILL meet again some day. I love you ♥ .
