This is going to be incredibly long, but please just read.
Last year I went to a Jennifer Lopez concert (she is my favorite singer). I have a speech impediment because i was born 4 months premature. I have a lot of self-esteem issues and I hate the way I look. I am so self-concious because of my speaking disorder. Anyway, I won backstage passes to meet her. I figured I would just tell her how much I love her music, etc. I still dont really know what came over me, but I ended up pouring out everything to her, my idol. I was a crying mess and I was so humiliated. I thought "Why the hell would she care? She has the best life? She f/cking gorgeous, can have any guy she wants, has the perfect body, why would she care that im suicidal?" She asked everyone else to leave the room and she got me a glass of water. She sat with me and talked to me. The advice she gave me about how she overcame her speech defect is what I am stil using to this day to help me. She took the time to talk me out of suicide. It was something I never expected, and it is the reason I am still here today. Moral is, no matter what you think, someone is always there for you. Someone cares about you more than you can imagine. You might be uncomfortable, but if you talk to someone, trust me, it can really help. I am always here if you need someone. You never know what could happen. I was at her show a few months ago and she remembered me and asked how I was doing. Sometimes, it just takes a little courage. Stay strong gorgeous girl!! :)
