- There For Me C Chapter 7 Emily's POV: Okay, so you might be wondering what the ‘ridge’ is right about now. Well, the ridge is a small cliff that overhangs the ocean. During the beginning of July, early in the morning, you can see the most beautiful sunrise. The oranges, yellows, blues, purples, and reds blend together perfectly creating a peaceful atmosphere. Carson and I have been going there together since we were little. “Look at that color!” I said pointing at a peachy color in the sky. “Gorgeous.” Carson cooed. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Carson staring at me. Was he talking about me? A shiver traveled through my body just thinking about it and I wrapped my arms around myself. “Are you okay?” He asked. I shook my head. “Yeah. I’m fine. It’s just a little cold out here, that’s all.” It wasn’t a complete lie. The air this early in the morning was frigid, and there was little breeze. “Come here,” Carson said. He grabbed my waist and scooted me closer to him. He shrugged off his sweatshirt, something I neglected to bring, and draped it over my shoulders. I slipped my arms into the warm sleeves and rested my head on his shoulder. His strong arms stayed at my waist. “Just don’t tell James I gave you my sweatshirt.” Carson whispered. His breath on my ear sent even more shivers down my spine. “I’d like to keep my face the way it looks now.” He laughed. “I won’t.” I promised. Okay, so im going to Canada early Monday, like 5:30am, so i wont be posting for a while. Depending on what time i get back i'll either be posting again onThursday or Friday. - There For Me C Chapter 9 Emily's POV: When I got home I quickly changed into my favorite pair of short shorts and a pink tank top. I redid my makeup and straightened my hair. When I was done it was already 7:55. I ran down the stairs just as the doorbell rang. “Hey babe!” James greeted me, pulling me into a hug. “Hey! What are we going to do today!?” I smiled. “Well, I was thinking we could go to the beach, then go to dinner later on. Maybe we could go back to my place afterwards. My parents will be home…” He trailed off. “We could come here afterwards. My mom’s still on her business trip and Jaden’s over Mikes’ house.” I offered. James grinned. “Perfect!” . . . . . . . . . “I had a really great day today.” I smiled. We had just finished dinner and we were now in the car heading to my house. James had taken me to the cheesecake factory, my all time favorite restaurant. “I did too.” He agreed. When we got back to my house it was a little after nine. We decided to watch a movie and agreed on ‘The Notebook.’. I plopped down on the couch, James sitting next to me, and laid my head on his shoulder. His smooth hands stroked my hair. Halfway through the movie I felt James hand slid onto my inner thigh, slowly rubbing it. I turned towards him and watched him flash his famous toothy grin. The famous toothy grin that made me fall in love with him. He brushed back a stray strand of my hair and tucked it behind my ear. His fingers pause there a moment longer before tracing my jaw line. Chills ran through my body, but my face stayed emotionless, only hinting a little smile. “Emily,” James breathed. He leaned down and pressed his soft lips to my shoulder. They slid up to my neck, then my cheek, slowly grazing at my skin as they went. I stayed motionless until they reached my own lips. “Oh, Emily,” He whispered again. His tongue slid into my mouth, crashing against mine. My arms wrapped around his neck as my hands tangled in his hair. Right at that moment I knew I couldn’t love James more than I loved him now. I went to the hospital that night, I went every night. in fact, the only time I left was to go out to eat, but that's it. The doctors tried getting me to leave, but I refused. It was all my fault. If it wasn't for me, wanting to play basketball with her, she wouldn't be going through this. It was already four days, and she hasn't woken up. On the fifth day, I saw her eyes gently open. "Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
