(Jake's POV) chapter 14
I can't believe this happened. I was so happy we got back together and this happened. I tried to console Emily as much as i could but its so hard. We went into her mom's room. I heard Emily start breathing hard again so i tried to calm her down, holding her hand and hugging her.
We stayed in the room for awhile, although her mom was unconscious. Me and my mom walked out of the room so Emily could be alone, she walked out 10 minutes later. "She wont wake up." She sighed, her voice was scratchy. My mom talked to the doctor and he said she might not wake up until tomorrow, it was a pretty bad collision.
We all drove home and silently went to bed. It was 10:00. "Can you stay in my room tonight?" Emily said quietly at my door. I said yes and quickly changed, meeting emily in her room. She sat on the bed, i could see she was trying not to cry. We got into the bed and under the covers. I hugged her tight and she buried her face into my neck.
The next morning was quiet. We ate breakfast and my mom called the hospital. The doctor told us we could see her this evening, and that she woke up and was going to be okay. Until then, I need to do something to get her mind off of things. I waited till she finished eating. "Beach?" "i dont wannaa.." She sighed.
"Yes you do. I making you." I smiled, leaning closer to her. I'll just act like nothings wrong so she'll think about other things.
"cant make mee." She smiled a little and crossed her arms. "yes i cannn" I said and scooped her up like a baby, running up the stairs. She laughed and grabbed my neck. Its the first time I've heard her laugh since yesterday afternoon. I threw her on her bed and went to walk out. "Get ready babe." i smiled at her and walked out. Thank god she smiled back.
We went to the beach together and hung out, tanned and walked around. The water was freezing. Emily was still quiet while we were walking. "C'mon em, the doctor said she'll be okay. Be happyy!" I said and skipped ahead of her, walking backwards. "I am happyy.." She smiled alittle and looked out at the water. I didnt believe her, so i ran at her and picked her up, spinning around. "If you dont get happy right now I'm gonna throw you in the water again!" I yelled, she squealed and slipped out of my hands. She landed on her feet but still fell in the sand. I tripped over her and poked her.
"Happy yet?" I laughed, she was screaming and kicking, people were giving us weird looks but i didnt care, Emily is all i care about right now.
"Yess yess yess jakke" She laughed and rolled away from me. I stood and helped her up. I grabbed her hand and we kept walking. "I love youu." She smiled at me and kissed my cheek.
We hung out for awhile longer and she started to feel better. I feel bad that she's gonna get upset again after we go to the hospital..
