The best friends a girl could ever have! Avary, and Shelby {ShelbyRae35}
Last night, Jake Jahn committed
suicide.
I'm
sure you don't know who Jake Jahn is.
He was a senior at my high school.
He was a very successful and admired student.
He got good grades.
He was captain of the swim team.
He was the band flute section leader.
He had a lead role in the upcoming spring musical.
Yesterday, the school board accused Jake of stealing a
laptop.
They said it was him because they had a picture of him with
it.
The school board took Jake aside and questioned him for an hour,
without even contacting his parents first.
Jake said he borrowed the laptop from a teacher, he never tried
hiding it as he worked on a project over the weekend.
They suspended Jake until they could find more evidence to expell
him.
The suspension meant Jake couldn't participate in the
graduation ceremony, senior prom, the state flute competition he
was preparing for, and the muscial.
His dad said he looked drained when he came home.
Then he left without telling anyone, leaving behind his phone and
wallet.
He got onto the highway in his black Escot wagon, decorated in
batman stickers, a character he'd loved since childhood.
He accelerated and drove a quarter mile into a cement pillar.
He never tried to stop.
The car was found in half.
His body was unidentifiable.
And at home, a letter arrived in the mail.
An acceptance letter to Michigan State.
He never saw it.
